Lewiston and the surrounding area…National Geographic featured this region in their article "A Paradise Called The Palouse." Another beautiful part of our region is the acclaimed "Gateway to Hells Canyon." From Paradise to Hell, it's a country of contrasts...with fertile cropland and timberland interwoven between mountain ridges, river valleys, and deep scenic canyons. Lewiston as a progressive community of 30,000 people offers many cultural attractions as well world famous Snake and Salmon River Jet Boat rides. Shopping venues vary from classy boutique to Wal Mart. A paved bike path follows the river banks surrounding the city and provides cyclists a really unique riding experience. For more information, visit www.lewistonchamber.org
